HOLIDAY CHARITY

 HOLIDAY CHARITY

My Fellow Guild Members:

I have been given the task of running our Holiday Charity

I accepted this challenge simply because it is an opportunity to give while making some one happy and joyful at a time of the year when lots of people tend to be depressed and sad.

However, the task is not for one person alone it requires lots of hands (like Santa and His Elves helpers) So I am asking for your help, your sewing help in bringing Holiday joy to those in need.  This year we are in need of Stockings, bags and stuff soft toys.

Now the Guild would normally give us fabrics for this task, but unfortunately, the Guild has no holiday fabrics, so I am asking fellow members to use any holiday or happy fabrics that you may have in your stash. (example of happy fabrics would be Kaffee Fassett fabrics). This is an opportunity to bring out your creativity in another way

I wish to thank you in advance, and I am looking forward to see what you do create.

Happy Sewing and Creating

Shuné

HOLIDAY CHARITY REPORT FOR 2025

Fellow Empire Guild Members

Thank you for the response so far to our Holiday Charity. I have received over 20 bags and 7 stockings, via Tina Barth as I was absent last meeting.

This is wonderful to see, and I hope that we can really make a great impression on the children with stocking stuffers this year.

I would like to suggest: Dover Publications for colouring books and others, you can them for less than ten dollars. I think the children share.
Also shop at home, see what you can possibly give, you will be making a lasting impression.

Thank you again all you wonderful makers, Empire Quilters are the best.
